The Urbanscape GR Premium 54L complete system consists of a drainage system with water storage, a unique, patented growth mat made from binder-free stone wool, and a vegetation layer.
In contrast to the standard system, the Green Roll growth mat used here has a thickness of 40 mm, resulting in a water storage capacity of 54 L/m².

The excellent water retention and storage properties of the Urbanscape Green Roll growth mat, combined with the additional reservoir, provide this structure with optimal characteristics for modern rainwater management.

The double-sided drainage system with water storage is made from impact-resistant, recycled polystyrene and has been specifically developed for green roofs. The upper louvers allow for controlled excess water drainage.
At the same time, these louvers ensure long-term ventilation and diffusion capacity of the system, contributing to an improved microbiological climate for the plants.

What is Urbanscape
The Urbanscape green roof system is an innovative, lightweight system with a very high water storage capacity. It was specifically designed for easy and quick self-assembly. The main advantage: the roof is immediately green and requires minimal maintenance.
The Urbanscape green roof system is a complete system consisting of a root protection layer, a drainage system with water storage, a unique, patented mineral wool substrate, and a vegetation layer.
The system is tailored to each requirement and delivered directly to the construction site in the appropriate material quantities.

Drainage System:
The Urbanscape drainage system with water storage consists of a double-sided drainage and water storage panel made from polystyrene. It has excellent load-bearing capacity and was specifically developed for green roofs. The panels are perforated on one side. When installed with the perforated side facing up, it allows for additional water storage during dry periods and rapid runoff of excess water during rainy periods. Additionally, it supplies oxygen to the plant roots. The Urbanscape drainage system is made from high-quality plastic, making it lighter and more durable than comparable drainage systems.

Green Roll Substrate:
Urbanscape Green Roll substrate is a lightweight mineral wool substrate made from mineral fibers. These fibers are bonded using a special process to create a particularly compact and stable mat. The product consists exclusively of various mineral rock fibers. The Urbanscape Green Roll substrate is an excellent growth medium, providing outstanding water retention and storage.

Vegetation Mat:
The biodegradable vegetation mat consists of 57 different sedum species. The coverage rate at delivery is up to 95%. The Urbanscape vegetation mats are produced in accordance with the FLL guidelines for planning, execution, and maintenance of green roofs.
Sedum plants are capable of storing water in their leaves and are therefore well suited to withstand longer dry periods.

Control Shaft
The Urbanscape control shaft is installed as part of the Urbanscape green roof system over outlets on extensively vegetated roofs. It simplifies inspection and maintenance of drainage outlets. The shaft consists of a high-quality polypropylene base with a standing surface that distributes the weight, and a lockable cover with an integrated stainless steel filter grid to prevent overflow caused by accumulated material from the green roof and to protect against surface water from the vegetation layer. The custom-made control shaft also prevents contamination and overgrowth of the outlet by plants.

Edge Profiles and Corner Profiles
The L-profiles are designed to separate vegetation and gravel on extensively vegetated roofs. They can also create boundary strips on a roof without a parapet wall. These are triple-bent, L-shaped gravel strips made of aluminum, perforated for continuous drainage. Each part is 2.5 m long and can be connected with an Urbanscape corner profile. As accessories, flexible Urbanscape corner profiles are available, allowing easy on-site creation of interior or exterior corners.

Root Protection Membrane
The Urbanscape root protection membrane is made from black polyethylene LD recycled material. It is used to protect the waterproofing from damage caused by root growth.

Long-term Fertilizer
A starter fertilizer is always recommended, as it makes the plants more resistant and vigorous, and accelerates root establishment. For this, 30-40 g/m² should be applied. During maintenance, two fertilization applications of 30-40 g/m² each are recommended. We offer the long-term fertilizer in 1 kg, 5 kg, and 20 kg buckets.

Important Note:
The indicated delivery times are non-binding and only approximate unless explicitly agreed otherwise. Delivery occurs within approximately 7-14 working days. Delivery is only possible Tuesday to Thursday. Please note that the product is very sensitive. Plants are freshly harvested for each order and imported from the Netherlands. Longer storage times on the truck, e.g., over the weekend, would significantly damage the product.
