Type
The components of the ARDEX TRICOM sealing set consist of a double-sided laminated polypropylene fleece carrier with a polyurethane layer or a double-sided laminated polypropylene fleece carrier with a polyvinyl chloride layer and a butyl ring.
The material is waterproof, easy to cut with a knife or scissors, integrates well into sealing compounds, does not fold, and has high adhesion to sealing materials.
The low material thickness allows for an almost seamless coating with ARDEX sealing compounds.
The ARDEX SK TRICOM sealing set is sufficiently permeable to diffusion, allowing the underlying sealing compounds to dry and harden.

Consists of a PES foam carrier with a rubber-based adhesive strip.
Preparation of the substrate
The instructions contained in the technical data sheets of ARDEX sealing compounds and ARDEX sealing membranes must be observed.
The joint openings must be sufficiently wide according to their calculated movement and, if necessary, chamfered at the edges to form loops.
Processing
The corners and sleeves are freshly embedded into the previously rolled, folded, or troweled ARDEX sealing compound, applied appropriately, and immediately pressed firmly with a smoothing trowel or spatula. The ARDEX sealing compound must be the same as that used subsequently for the bonded waterproofing.
For waterproofing with the ARDEX SK100 W membrane, ARDEX 7/8 sealing adhesive is used to embed the corners and sleeves.
In the overlap area, the sealing tape, corners, and sleeves must be overlapped by at least 5 cm or sealed with the respective sealing compound. Care must be taken that the sealing compound does not penetrate into the underlying movement space.
After installing all necessary parts of the sealing set, the bonded waterproofing can be started. The second layer of the bonded waterproofing will rework the corners and sleeves. In the area of the movable zone, e.g., expansion joints, the sealing material must be cut out to the same width.
ARDEX SKW TRICOM sealing sleeve 140 x 140
Prepared for a 12-inch pipe penetration through an existing opening. For larger openings, cut out the necessary recess with scissors or a knife, matching the shape but approximately 8-12 mm smaller in dimension.
Center the recess of the sealing sleeve on the pipe penetration. With even pressure, press the sleeve over the pipe extension or the fully mounted pipe and press it to the substrate. The sealing sleeve fits correctly if it contacts the pipe with at least 4 mm of tightness and firmly.
