BauderTEC KSA DUO Bitumen Membrane
Elastomerbitumen cold self-adhesive membrane with fleece carrier made of grid reinforcement and glass fleece. The two seam types are different in construction. One seam is cold self-adhesive, while the opposite seam is designed for welding, both with a burner and hot air welding. This provides the option, depending on weather conditions or emergency sealing requirements, to choose the most suitable method for connecting the membrane at the seam area.
Elastomerbitumen cold self-adhesive membrane used as the lower layer in multi-layered flat roof constructions, e.g., with non-heat-resistant thermal insulation or fire-sensitive substructures, including edge sealing against penetrating flames through immediate bonding of the red seam. When installed on EPS insulation and subsequently hot-air welded with an overlay membrane, the high welding temperature may cause the EPS insulation material to melt. In such cases, it is recommended to primarily direct the burner flame onto the overlay membrane.
In the case of seam connection by welding, a temporary, provisional emergency sealing is possible.
Bauder bitumen membranes on rolls are stored standing and protected from UV rays, moisture, and heat. During the cold season, the rolls may need to be preheated.
