DELTA MULTIBAND M 100 25m
Universal adhesive tape with high bonding strength
- High weather resistance
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
Suitable substrates for bonding:
- Smooth to slightly rough films made of PE polyethylene, PA polyamide, and aluminum composite films
- Surface-reinforced nonwovens made of PP polypropylene
- Kraft paper
- All DELTAreg; films, each on the printed film surfaces
Suitable substrates for bonding:
- Planed wood
- Hard wood-based panels such as OSB/particle boards, possibly primed with DELTAreg;HF PRIMER
- Hard plastics
- Metal
- Glass
- Porous and absorbent substrates such as softwood fiberboards must be pretreated with DELTAreg;HF PRIMER / DELTAreg;PREN before bonding to ensure good adhesion and high bonding strength
Processing:
- Films and substrates must be load-bearing, dry, frost-free, free of dust, dirt, grease, softeners, ice, and rime, and free of substances that repel adhesive
- A trial bond on site is recommended
- The surface tension of the substrate should be at least 36 mN/m
- Bonded strips must be laid and fixed without tension, folds, or creases
- Overlaps must be seamless, i.e., fold-free and without defects, to be bonded
- The adhesive strength depends on storage, substrate, environmental conditions, and time
- The final strength develops within the functional range: 40°C to 80°C; processing range: 5°C to 40°C
- The adhesive tape should be stored at room temperature before processing; do not store at freezing temperatures
- The adhesive tape must be applied tension-free and without shear or foam load on the substrates to be bonded. It must be ensured that no tensions occur after bonding, e.g., when installing battens under vapor barriers, to prevent tearing
- The best possible bonding is achieved when the adhesive tape is pressed in with a pressure-distributing tool—e.g., a firm sponge
- The construction process should be coordinated to avoid air humidity levels > 80 % rF during and after bonding
- Prolonged exposure to water must be avoided
- Do not bond on later visible parts, as the adhesive tape cannot be removed afterwards
- The adhesive is not permanently UV-resistant and must be covered and protected from UV light no later than 6 months after application
