KNAUF Rotband Pro Adhesive Plaster Lightweight 30kg

Knauf Rotband Pro is a machine-applied gypsum adhesive plaster with special lightweight aggregates. Due to its adhesive properties, it is particularly suitable for renovation work on concrete ceilings and wall surfaces, as well as concrete prefabricates and all common plaster bases. It can be used in all rooms with typical humidity levels, including rooms with household use and buildings.

Execution

For manual application, apply the plaster mortar within 20 minutes after mixing. To create smoothed surfaces, apply or spray the material with a trowel or machine, distributing it evenly and flush with the surface. After the initial setting, smooth with a trapezoidal trowel and align corners. If necessary, rework with a plaster spatula. After moistening the surface with a sponge disc to create a smooth finish and level small irregularities, allow the plaster to partially set, then smooth with a plaster spatula or trowel.

Preparation

Ideal for renovation or small surfaces using Knauf hand plasters. We differentiate between adhesive plaster with special bonding properties and ready-mixed plaster for masonry. Both materials are supplied in bags and are applied manually.

Plaster Application

After mixing, apply the mortar with a trowel or spread with a plastering board, ensuring thorough coverage and full adhesion to the substrate. Then, level the plaster with a trowel or screed, distributing it evenly and flush.

Finishing

For creating a smoothed surface, the plaster becomes matte and slightly roughened as it stiffens. The surface can then be textured with a sponge or other tools. If a final coating such as a textured plaster or ceramic tiles is to be applied, the surface should only be scraped smooth.

Surface Finishing
