Knauf Trenn Fix is used for

Application
Knauf TrennFix is applied in the area of the component connection so that the smooth component to be connected (e.g., plaster, concrete, wood, drywall, etc.) is glued with the narrow, highly adhesive bonding zone directly to the already mounted drywall profile. The Knauf panels are mounted approximately 5 mm away from the TrennFix. The joint between TrennFix and the panel edge is then filled with joint filler compound (e.g., Uniflott Trias or joint filler lightweight). After the filler has dried, excess strips are cut into the corner with a sharp blade and removed. When working with plaster, the TrennFix strips are plastered over. After the plaster has dried, excess strips are cut into the corner and removed. When connecting drywall or plaster surfaces to wood or visible concrete surfaces, TrennFix should only be cut and removed after the paint coating in the corner. This ensures that wood or concrete in the joint area is protected from contamination.
