Lithofin MN Color Deepener for Natural and Concrete Stone

Description

A specialized product from the LITHOFIN program for marble, natural and concrete stone MN.

Ready-to-use impregnating agent based on siloxane with specific color-enhancing additives dissolved in organic solvents.

Properties

Lithofin MN Color Deepener penetrates the surface, makes it water-repellent, and deepens the natural color and texture without creating a gloss. The surfaces appear more vibrant and fresher, almost like wet.

The water-repellent effect reduces dirt accumulation and stain sensitivity and facilitates cleaning. No surface film is formed, so the vapor permeability remains largely unaffected. The slip resistance of the coating is hardly changed.

Durability

Practically unlimited indoors with proper maintenance. Outdoors, depending on the type of stone and weather exposure, the color-enhancing effect lasts approximately 1-2 years, and the protective effect lasts about 5-7 years. When the effect diminishes, multiple recoatings are possible.

Application Area

For intensifying the color of wall and floor coverings, stairs, entrance areas, terraces, etc., that appear too pale or colorless or need to be matched to a polished surface. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Substrates

All absorbent, porous natural stones with a coarse-grained, sawn, or flamed surface, such as granite, gneiss, porphyry, marble, limestone, slate, Solnhofen slabs, as well as concrete stones with a rough surface.

Note

For polished and very finely ground natural and concrete stones, we recommend Lithofin FLECKSTOP, Lithofin MN Fleckstop, or Lithofin MN Grundschutz.

Processing

The substrate must be absorbent, clean, stain-free, and completely dry. It is recommended to create a test surface.

Apply Lithofin MN Color Deepener with a clean roller, sealing brush, or flat brush, and allow to soak in. On highly absorbent substrates, a second application may be necessary. A saturated application can cause gloss on weakly absorbent surfaces, which can be prevented by removing excess with a dry cloth before drying.

Note

Only treat fully dried surfaces. Drying times for newly laid surfaces can be up to 8 weeks, or a few days after rain or cleaning. Non-absorbent surfaces such as polished or fired materials like clinker, fine stoneware, etc., cannot be treated. Glass, polished surfaces, wood, and painted surfaces, plastics, and other sensitive surfaces must be protected against splashes. Do not process in direct sunlight or at surface temperatures below 5°C or above 25°C. Clean tools with solvent.

Drying Time

Walkable after approx. 30 minutes, complete drying within 24 hours.

Coverage

Approx. 5-10 m² per liter, depending on the type of surface.

Storage

Cool, dry, and tightly sealed. Do not store above 25°C. Shelf life approx. 4 years.
