crack faces can be moist - Before grouting, insert injection ports using drill or adhesive plugs - For moist cracks, use drill plugs - Insert drill plugs - Drill the component along the crack with a stone drill bit matching the packer diameter; the drill hole should cut approximately through the center of the crack in the component - Drill holes alternately on the left and right of the crack - The distance between drill holes should not exceed half the component thickness or 60 cm - Vacuum dust from the drill holes - Insert drill packers into the prepared holes and seal the cracks with the following PCI products: - PCI Polyfix 5 Min for crack grouting after 30 to 60 minutes or on moist surfaces - PCI Collastic for crack grouting after at least approx. 3 hours and during minor crack width changes during drying or grouting work - PCI Construction Resin or PCI Epoxy Primer 390 with PCI injection aid for high-pressure crack grouting after approx. 24 hours - Set adhesive plugs - Clean the component surfaces by sanding - Attach adhesive plugs with PCI Collastic or PCI Construction Resin over the crack - The plug spacing should correspond to the component thickness - Seal cracks as described for drill plugsCracks or false joints in screeds - Enlarge cracks or joints and remove loose or degraded parts from the edges - Open the cracks or joints with a grinding disc up to two-thirds of the screed thickness - For preparation of reinforcement, e.g., with PCI screed clamps, cut perpendicular to the crack direction - Saw cross slots in the substrate at a distance of approx. 10 to 20 cm, with a length of approx. 10 cm and a depth of about 2/3 of the screed thickness using a cutting disc - Thoroughly vacuum cracks and slotsNote: For heated screeds, repair may not be feasible depending on the construction type and the position of heating pipes due to the high risk of damage.Hollow areas in screeds - Locate and mark hollow areas in the screed plates by tapping - Drill perpendicular to the intact substrate in the hollow area - Depending on the size of the hollow, drill at the room edges of the hollow zone or in a suitable grid pattern - Vacuum the drill dust and insert drill packers - Leave two or more drill holes open in each hollow area to prevent foam-like fluid pressure during groutingProcessing of PCI Apogel - Wear suitable protective gloves and safety glasses or face protection;
