Application Areas

• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
• For wall and floor joints
• For joint widths from 5 to 20 mm
• For grouting of coverings made of stoneware and ceramic tiles, brick tiles, paving bricks, and concrete stone slabs
• For grouting of facing masonry
• For grouting ceramic coverings in areas that must generally meet DVGW standards, e.g., drinking water containers or objects intended for such applications, e.g., swimming pools, brewing water reservoirs, etc.

Substrate Preparation

Apply the mortar immediately after laying the tiles, uniformly scratch out the joint to a depth equal to the tile thickness, and clean. Let the adhesive or laying mortar mature. For absorbent ceramics, pre-wet the joints immediately before grouting.

Processing of PCI FT Fugenbreit

Mixing water, see processing data table. Add powder to clean work environment, then add to the powder and knead with a suitable stir or mixing tool, e.g., from Collomix, as an attachment to a drill, to form a homogeneous, lump-free mortar. After a maturation time of approximately 3 minutes, knead again.

Grouting

Floor Grouting

Apply the mortar with a rubber float or PCI rubber jointing disc, fill the joints completely, and clean the surface diagonally. If necessary, wash off. After the mortar has set, wipe with a slightly damp sponge.

Wall Grouting

Apply the mortar with PCI rubber jointing disc, allow to set, and possibly rework with a second application. After sufficient setting, wipe with a slightly damp sponge.

After drying, remove any remaining mortar film with a damp sponge.
