Clamping Strip SCHIENE/EB

Application and Function
Clamping Strip SCHIENE is a special profile for the protection and decoration of edge trims on tile coverings, but it can also be very effectively used for other covering materials and applications.

Other areas of application include, among others, transitions between different types of coverings, e.g., tiles to carpet, skirting board covers, edge protection at expansion joints, clean and decorative finishing edges on stair treads as well as surfaces and field boundaries of all kinds, and clean demarcations for covering materials such as carpet, parquet, laminate, natural stone coverings, or reaction resin coatings.

Loads encountered are dissipated through the special construction of the profile with specific material thicknesses and angular positions into the covering and substrate. The edge area of the covering is thus effectively protected from damage.

The joint web, which is formed from a profile height of 6 mm, and SCHIENEES from a height of 8 mm, provides a defined joint chamber for the tile. The Clamping Strip SCHIENE in all materials can be equipped with a radius punch "R", enabling the bending of a curve.

Processing

1. The profile height should be selected according to the tile thickness and installation method.
2. Where the tile covering is to be limited, tile adhesive should be applied with a notched trowel.
3. The profile is to be inserted into the adhesive bed with the trapezoid-shaped punched fastening leg and aligned.
4. The trapezoid punched fastening leg must be fully covered with tile adhesive.
5. The adjacent tiles are to be firmly pressed in and aligned so that the profile top edge
6. flushes with the tile; the profile must not protrude higher than the surface of the covering, ideally about 1 mm lower. The tiles must be fully laid within the profile area.
7. The tile is to be placed against the side joint web, ensuring a uniform joint of 1.5 mm. For profiles without a joint web, a joint of approximately 1.5 mm should be left.
8. The joint space between tiles and profile must be completely filled with joint mortar.
