The fermacellTM Quellmörtel is a swelling cement mortar designed for substructure of walls and supports in timber construction on solid substrates. It is slightly swellable, approximately 5% volume increase, does not shrink, and after curing, provides full surface load transfer of the wall to the substrate. The maximum layer thickness is approximately 40 mm. The minimum layer thickness should be at least 10 mm for practical application reasons.

The fermacellTM Quellmörtel is used to fill the cavity between the floor slab and the base plate threshold or guide threshold in timber panel construction. After curing, it can transfer vertical loads from the wall to the substrate. Volume increase occurs after approximately 2 hours, shrinkage-free. It is weather and frost resistant after curing.
