ARDEX R4 RAPID Universal Quick Filler 2,5kg

Scope of application:
Smoothing and trowelling of wall, ceiling and floor surfaces for the reception of wallpaper, coatings, dispersion renders, wall and floor coverings on absorbent and non-absorbent substrates. Filling cracks, deep holes, grooves and joints. For floor applications: for reworking unevenness and trowel marks on gypsum and cement filler compounds. For rapid fixing of metal, joint and angle profiles. As a rapid construction system for quickly executed repair measures.
For indoor use
For flat surface filling work, suitable for layer thicknesses of 0 to 10 mm.

Type:
Special cements, plastic powder with good dispersibility and finely grained fillers.
When mixed with water, a stable mortar is formed which can be processed for approx. 15 minutes and already hardens within 30-45 minutes through hydration and drying. Can be overcoated with all coverings (parquet with ARDEX SMP adhesives) on absorbent substrates after approx. 45 min, and on non-absorbent substrates after approx. 60 min.

Substrate preparation:
ARDEX universal quick filler bonds practically insolubly to almost all commonly used building substrates. The substrate must be dry, firm, load-bearing, sound and free from bond-breaking agent.

Remove old coatings that do not adhere firmly or are weakly bonded, as well as loose renders and wallpaper.

Application:
Only mix as much mortar as can be used within the processing time of approx. 15 minutes. Add clear water to a clean mixing vessel and, while mixing vigorously, add as much powder as necessary to produce a mortar free from lumps.
To mix 1 kg ARDEX R4 RAPID, approx. 0,4 l of water are required. At +18 °C to 20 °C, the mortar can be processed for approx. 15 minutes. Lower temperatures extend the processing time, higher temperatures shorten it.
On non-absorbent substrates, apply ARDEX universal quick filler at least 1 mm thick. Once sufficiently hardened, trowel coats can be skim-finished again with freshly mixed material.
If in doubt, carry out test areas. Apply ARDEX R4 Rapid at temperatures above 5 °C.
