Type

White, ready-to-use dispersion-based lightweight filler on high-quality synthetic resins and selected fillers. ARDEX A 828 READY is vapor-permeable, has good strength, and ensures excellent adhesion without primer on many common absorbent and non-absorbent substrates.

Processing

ARDEX A 828 READY is ready to use immediately without pre-drying and is suitable for manual application as well as for processing with suitable airless equipment.

Manual processing: For manual application, the material is applied with a stainless steel spatula and then smoothed.

Machine processing: For spraying, sufficiently dimensioned airless devices are used, e.g., Graco Ultra Max 1095 with the HDA 529535 nozzle. The material is sprayed evenly and smoothed immediately or after a delay depending on the layer thickness.

Subsequent work such as wallpapering, painting, etc., must be performed after the filler has dried. When executing these tasks, the instructions of the respective manufacturer regarding substrate preparation, application method, and execution conditions must be observed.

ARDEX A 828 READY is excellently compatible with dispersion and powder products such as ARDEX A 828, ARDEX A 826, A 826 READY, and ARDEX W 820.

ARDEX A 828 READY must not be processed at air and substrate temperatures below 5°C and above 30°C. In case of doubt, test panels should be prepared.

Preparation of the substrate

The substrate must be rough, dry, firm, and free of dust, dirt, and other separating agents. Wallpaper that does not adhere firmly or weakly bonded coatings and loose plasters should be removed. Paints, latex plastics, latex paints, and similar dense substrates should be cleaned of wax, oil, and grease before filling.

Smooth, dense substrates should be primed with ARDEX A 828 READY at approximately 0.5 mm thickness. After the primer has dried (about 2 hours), the filling layer can be applied in the desired thickness. Low-absorbency substrates may cause fine air bubbles in the material, which can be removed by smoothing after a short drying time. Alternatively, priming with ARDEX P 51 or ARDEX P 52 is recommended.
