RIGIPS joint filler VARIO 25 kg bag joint filler for plasterboard panels drylining

for jointing in drylining, e.g. with Rigips boards

VARIO joint filler is a highly plasticised, gypsum-based material (gypsum) in accordance with DIN EN 13963 / Type 4B.

Quality standard:
filler for joint & finish, Q1-Q4

Application area:
For filling the joints and interfaces of VARIO edges with or without Rigips paper or glassfibre reinforcing tape.
For finishing the set (butted) jointing gaps of Glasroc F (Ridurit) and Glasroc F (Riflex) boards with Rigips glassfibre reinforcing tape.
For finishing Rigidur fibre gypsum boards with edge profiles SK (without reinforcing tape, installation of the boards at approx. 5 mm spacing) and AK (with Rigidur mesh reinforcing tape).
For finishing Rigiton perforated ceiling panels with jointing gaps without reinforcing tape.
VARIO joint filler is particularly well suited for re-finishing in accordance with Q3 and Q4.
For filling cracks and holes and levelling out uneven substrates.
For filling fine ceilings jointing gaps.

Substrate condition:
The substrate must be sound, clean, dry, frost-free and dust-free.

Mixing the material:
Use clean vessels, clean tools and clean water, otherwise the product properties may be affected. Do not use any further additives.
Sprinkle VARIO joint filler into the water until powder “islands” form on the surface (mixing ratio: 5 kg VARIO joint filler to approx. 2.5 l water).
After approx. 3 minutes (sump time), VARIO joint filler is stirred to a lump-free compound.
During the mixing process, the filler thickens and achieves a workable consistency.
VARIO joint filler that has been mixed too stiffly may be thinned with water.
After mixing, VARIO joint filler must not be re-sprinkled (lump formation).

Application without reinforcing tape:
Chamfer all cut edges of plasterboard panels using the VARIO edge plane and remove gypsum dust (lightly dampen if necessary).
Fill long and cross edges and level off flush with the surface.
After VARIO joint filler has set, any excess pre-filling material must be cut off.
