Lithofin KF Protective Impregnation for Fine Stoneware

Description
A Lithofin special product for fine stoneware (FZ). A solvent-free, ready-to-use, specialized impregnation with high-quality oils and water-repellent active ingredients.

Properties
The active ingredients penetrate into the pore space and give ceramic surfaces and their joints an oil- and water-repellent finish. This reduces susceptibility to stains and facilitates stain removal.
The coated surfaces are easier to maintain and less sensitive to dirt without altering their appearance. The active ingredients are harmless to health after drying.

Application Area
For oil- and water-repellent finishing of fine stoneware tiles, especially for polished surfaces. Suitable for stain-sensitive areas such as workshops, kitchens, canteens, etc.
Note: Not all types of fine stoneware need or can be treated.
Application
The tiles and joints must be completely dry, clean, and free of stains. It is best to treat only partial surfaces up to approximately 20 m². Shake the bottle lightly before use. Apply a thin, closed film with a wiping cloth, brush, roller, or sponge. Ensure as uniform a distribution as possible by wiping over multiple times.
Any excess residue not dried should not be left to dry but wiped off after approximately 10-20 minutes with a rubber squeegee and/or a dry cloth. For already dry areas, moisten the cloth with product and wipe off the excess. Immediately check larger surfaces under raking light for residues that cannot be removed after drying. For larger surfaces, Lithofin FZ Schutzimpraumlgnierung can also be sprayed evenly with a garden sprayer and immediately spread with a sponge. Residues are best removed with a single-disc machine with a vacuum attachment.
Please note: Visible product on the surface must not dry; wipe off immediately and thoroughly.
Processing temperature of the surface: 10 to 25°C
Drying time: Floor coverings are walkable within 2 hours; fully effective after approximately 24-48 hours.
Coverage: Up to approximately 40 m² per liter, depending on the absorption capacity of the substrate.
Note: Splashes on wood, glass, PVC, painted surfaces, and permanently elastic joints should be wiped off immediately with a damp cloth. Clean tools immediately with water. If in doubt, test on a small area first.
Post-Treatment
Shelf life: approximately 12 years, depending on the type, location, and load on the tiles. If the effect diminishes, the surface can be treated again. For regular maintenance, we recommend Lithofin FZ Pflege Reiniger. Strong degreasing, leaching, or film-forming products are not suitable.
Storage
Store frost-free, dry, and tightly closed. Approx. 1 year shelf life. Use opened containers promptly.
