Application Area

• For interior and exterior use

Substrate Preparation

• Minimum substrate age:
• PCI Novoment M 1 plus and PCI Novoment Z 1: 24 hours
• PCI Novoment M 3 plus and PCI Novoment Z 3: 3 days
• Cement screeds according to DIN 4 CM
• Concrete: 3 months

The substrate must be dry, free of dust, and load-bearing. Highly absorbent cement substrates should be primed with PCI Gisogrund 1, diluted with water. Sanded anhydrite or gypsum screeds and cast asphalt screeds should be primed with PCI Gisogrund. For time-sensitive work, cement and gypsum-based substrates should be primed with PCI Gisogrund Rapid. Allow primer to dry thoroughly. Cement screeds should not exceed 4% residual moisture, anhydrite screeds should not exceed 0.5%, measured with a CM device.

Application of PCI Flexmörtel S1 Fast-Setting

Pour the mixing water into a clean working container. Add PCI Flexmörtel S1 Fast-Setting and mix with a suitable paddle to a homogeneous, lump-free mortar. After a re-aging time of approximately 3 minutes, briefly remix again. For laying tiles and slabs, first apply a thin contact layer to the substrate with a smooth trowel. Then, using a notched trowel, comb the fresh contact layer in one direction. Only spread as much mortar as can be covered with tiles within the open time. Test the open time with the finger tip test: place and align tiles with a slight sliding movement in the mortar bed.
