Properties/Application Areas:
ProfiplusAcryl is a single-component, plasto-elastic, easy-to-apply joint sealing compound based on a high-quality acrylic dispersion, which is equipped with an antifreeze agent. ProfiplusAcryl is solvent-free, UV-resistant, and non-yellowing.
The cured sealant can be overcoated with most dispersion paints. Due to the variety of coating systems available on the market, it is recommended to check compatibility between the coating and the sealant beforehand.

ProfiplusAcryl can be used to seal cracks, small gaps, joint or hole connections in interior and exterior areas that are not exposed to significant expansion movements or compression stresses.
Since acrylic cures by releasing moisture, applications outdoors are relatively limited.
Prolonged exposure to moisture, especially standing water, must be avoided permanently.

ProfiplusAcryl is supplied ready-to-use in a 310ml plastic cartridge and can be used on substrates such as plasterboard, plasters, masonry, concrete, artificial and natural stones, wood, rigid PVC, and other plastics as well as metals. However, it must not be used on tar and bitumen-containing substrates. In case of doubt, a preliminary test should be carried out on site.

Substrate requirements:
The joint edges and substrates must be firm, load-bearing, dry, and free of dust. They must be free of form-release agents, other contaminants, or efflorescence.
In general, ProfiplusAcryl adheres without primer on many substrates. Highly absorbent substrates should be primed. A suitable pre-treatment is a primer coat of a mixture of one part ProfiplusAcryl with 10 parts water.

Application/ Drying:
Deep joints must be filled with a backing material made of closed-cell PE foam or open-cell polyurethane foam.
For straight and precise joints, the joint gaps should be sealed with waterproof tape.
The supplied spray nozzle should be cut to the desired bead size.
Insert ProfiplusAcryl into a standard cartridge gun, cut above the thread, and screw the spray nozzle tightly onto it.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Always extrude with constant pressure.
ProfiplusAcryl can be smoothed within its skin formation time using smoothing agents, joint formers, spatulas, or putty knives.
Smoothing enhances contact between the sealant and the substrate.
Smoothing of the sealant surface must be done before skin formation.

ProfiplusAcryl cures hydraulically through the release of water. Rain or other moisture influences on the joint must be avoided until a firm surface skin has formed.

The skin formation begins after approximately 10 to 20 minutes depending on temperature and humidity.
ProfiplusAcryl is generally dry after 24 hours at a layer thickness of 12 mm and can be overcoated.
A final on-site assessment is essential.

ProfiplusAcryl must not be processed below 5°C substrate and air temperature. The ideal processing temperature is around 20°C.

Pro Tip:
Widen cracks in plaster substrates or drywall to approximately 5 mm width in a wedge shape.
Remove the tape after smoothing and before skin formation.
Protect sensitive surfaces such as plastics, wood, aluminum, glass, flooring, and other delicate surfaces from sealing by waterproof masking.
Remove fresh contamination and tools immediately with warm water. Fully cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Material consumption:
Approximately 3 m of joint with a cross-section of 10 mm x 10 mm.
Approximately 12 m of joint with a cross-section of 5 mm x 5 mm.
The exact material requirement must be determined on site.

Storage:
ProfiplusAcryl should be stored cool but always frost-free.
Frost-free storage must also be ensured during transport and on-site.
Original packaging can be stored for 24 months.
