Application and Function

The junction layer TROBA is a safe and permanently effective flat surface drainage system for installation above horizontally laid waterproofing. It consists of a perforated, pressure-stable polyethylene dimpled membrane and creates a cavity between the waterproofing and the gravel or split layer. Water infiltrating through the surface construction can enter the cavity via the side louvers of the trapezoidal dimples and reach the waterproofing located in the cavity, where it can drain away pressure-free into the cavity for dewatering.

The TROBA junction layer has proven itself in practice for over 25 years as a flat surface drainage system.

Installation

The load-bearing substrate and the waterproofing applied according to DIN 18 1955 must have sufficient slope for dewatering and be connected there. TROBA junction layer is laid loosely on the waterproofing regardless of the slope direction. The individual rolls are overlapped side by side with the flat edge, and the ends of two rolls are overlapped by at least one row of dimples. Immediately on the laid TROBA junction layer, the surface construction is applied according to the applicable technical standards.
