Closure Corner QUADAE

Application and Function

Closure Corner QUADAE is a high-quality finishing profile for wall outside corners on tile coverings and provides effective edge protection. The visible surface of the profile forms a right-angled outside corner of the tile covering. Through the integrated joint bridge in the aluminum profiles, a defined joint chamber to the tile is established.

The profiles, available in various materials, colors, and surfaces, enable the outside edges of the covering to be matched in color to the tiles and joint colors or to create interesting contrasts for decorative purposes. Closure Corner QUADAE and –A harmonize well with border profiles such as Closure Corner QUADEC FS or Closure Corner DESIGNLINE. Besides their decorative effect, the profiles effectively protect the tiles in the edge area from damage caused by mechanical impacts.

Closure Corner QUADEC made of stainless steel is particularly durable as a edge protector and is also suitable as a floor edge, decorative inlays in the floor area, or stair edge inserts. Additionally, closures, corners, or skirting board covers can be made with Closure Corner QUADEC for other covering materials such as carpet, parquet, natural stone tiles, or epoxy resin screeds.

For simple and neat connection of the Closure Corner QUADEC profiles at interior and exterior corners, suitable corner pieces are available. For easy and aesthetically pleasing connection of the profiles at interior and exterior corners, matching form parts, as well as connectors and end caps for selected materials, are available.

Processing

Select the Closure Corner QUADEC according to the tile height where the tile covering is to be limited. Apply tile adhesive with a notched trowel. When processing Closure Corner QUADEC at an outside wall corner, first tile the wall that is to be finished, then apply tile adhesive in the corner area of the second wall. Insert the perforated mounting bracket of the profile into the adhesive bed and align it. Fully spackle the perforated mounting bracket with tile adhesive and fill the open profile chamber with tile adhesive. Press the adjacent tiles firmly into place and align them so that the top edge of the profile is flush. The tiles must be fully bedded in the profile area.

The tile is placed against the side joint bridge, ensuring an even joint of 15 mm. For stainless steel profiles, a joint of approximately 15 mm should be left open. Completely fill the joint space between the tile and the profile with joint mortar. Handle sensitive surfaces with materials and tools that do not cause scratches or damage. Remove dirt caused by mortar or tile adhesive immediately. Suitable corner covers are available for interior and exterior corners.
