Note on substrate preparation

The substrates must be smooth, firm, clean, free of dirt, efflorescence, flaking, old coatings, flour-like layers, and separating substances. Substances that impair adhesion, such as rust, loose particles, greasy or fatty substances, must be removed to create a load-bearing and suitable substrate. Areas affected by mold must be renovated according to regulations. Substrates, especially fillers and plasters based on gypsum, must be completely dry.
