Mineral finishing plaster for creating a grain-on-grain structure

Area of application:
weber.star 220 Scheibenputz Jura is an external and internal top coat for weber.dur base coats, as well as a top coating for weber.therm thermal insulation plaster and weber.therm external thermal insulation composite systems.

Product properties:

• free from biocides, without preservatives
• surface-active, hydrophilic, for a balanced moisture management
• quick to texture for ceilings and walls
• lively, granular texture
• creates a healthy indoor climate through optimum water vapour permeability
• provides high impact rain protection for exposure class III according to DIN 4108
• can be applied mechanically and by hand

General notes:

• Fresh plaster surfaces must be protected against direct sunlight, strong wind or moisture exposure.
• Application and execution in accordance with DIN 18 350 VOB/C and DIN 18 550.
• Coverage information refers to the minimum layer thickness and may vary depending on the substrate and application method. Exact coverage values must be determined on site by carrying out test areas.
• Adjacent building components must be separated from the plaster system.

Special notes

• Due to natural fluctuations in raw material availability and drying conditions, as well as the effects of processing and texture, the plaster colour tone may differ from the sample. This does not constitute a reduction in quality or a justified complaint regarding the material.
• Differences in colour tone due to execution and drying conditions should be equalised with the equalising colour weber.ton 414 AquaBalance. This equalising coat must be specified in tenders and offers.
• When painting AquaBalance plaster systems, colours with AquaBalance technology (e.g. weber.ton 414 AquaBalance) must also be used.
• Order material for a project as far as possible in one go. Do not mix different batches with each other.

  provides very high and durable protection
  against algae and fungal growth.
• Continuously elevated moisture levels as well as dirt adhesion,
  e.g. in splash-water areas, where drainage is faulty
  and where planting is carried out in direct proximity to the façade
  can promote algae and fungal growth.

Substrate preparation

• The substrate must be load-bearing, dry and free from dust and substances that reduce adhesion.
• The base coat must be levelled and trowelled to a flat surface.
• Depending on the weather conditions, the base coat must be prepared in good time (preferably the day before) or the universal primer weber.prim 403 must be applied
• Observe the setting times of the respective plaster base.
• Pre-prime smoothed plaster surfaces, plasterboard, solid gypsum boards and similar with a bonding primer.
