Substrate Preparation
- The substrate must be load-bearing, dry, and free of dust and substances that reduce adhesion.
- The base coat must be flush and even.
- Depending on weather conditions, the base coat may need to be primed beforehand or a universal primer such as weberprim 403 applied.
- Observe the curing times of the respective substrate.
Application
- During application and drying, the air temperature, materials, and substrate must not fall below 5°C.
- No additives should be mixed into the mortar.
- The mortar can be processed with all common plastering machines (see equipment planner) or by hand.
- Thoroughly mix the contents of a bag with the specified amount of water until a workable consistency is achieved.
- Apply the mortar to the substrate and smooth with a trowel to the desired grain size.
- Structure the applied material with a plastic float, wooden float, or PUB roller according to the desired pattern.
- To avoid color differences and joint marks, do not work with different tools, work wet-in-wet, and do not rework the surface once set.
- Work in joint layers to prevent joint marks, working in staggered layers.
