Knauf Rotband Pro is an machine-applied plaster with special lightweight aggregates. Due to its adhesion additives, it is particularly suitable for renovation work on concrete ceilings and wall surfaces, as well as concrete prefabricated parts and all common plaster bases. It can be used in all rooms with normal humidity, including rooms with household use such as classrooms, hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, and care facilities.

Execution

Hand application: Mix and apply the plaster mortar within 20 minutes of mixing. For creating smooth surfaces, apply or trowel on the material and distribute it flush with the surface using a trowel or float. After initial setting, smooth with a trapezoidal trowel and align corners. If necessary, rework with a plaster spatula. After moistening the surface with a sponge disc, create a smooth finish and level out small irregularities. After slight setting, smooth the surface with a plaster spatula or float.

Preparation

Ideal for renovation or small surfaces using Knauf hand plasters. We differentiate between adhesion plaster with special bonding properties and ready-mixed plaster for masonry. Both materials are supplied in sacks and are applied manually.

Plaster Application

After mixing, apply the mortar with a trowel or trowel board, ensuring full adhesion to the substrate. Then, level the plaster with a float or trowel, distributing it flush and straight.

Finishing

For creating a smooth surface, the plaster will become matte and slightly roughened as it stiffens. The surface can then be textured with a sponge or smoothed with a trowel. If a scraped or ceramic tile finish is desired, the surface should only be troweled off.

Surface Finishing

As the plaster stiffens, it can be troweled off with a float or trowel, closing pores and small imperfections. The surface can then be textured with a sponge disc or smoothed with a plaster spatula.
