Powder based on fast-setting cements and special fillers

When mixed with water, a smooth, paste-like mortar is formed that is easy to process
The mortar is also non-washable at wide joints and low temperatures, does not burn, has high adhesive strength, and bonds firmly and crack-free in the joints
The joints are load-bearing and durable

Processing
In a clean mixing container, add clear water and mix the powder into a lump-free mortar
Mixing ratio: 250 kg ARDEX GK with approximately 4 l water
The mortar is workable for about 30 minutes at 5°C to 20°C. Higher temperatures shorten the processing time
>The mortar can be easily applied into the joints with a rubber trowel or jointing spatula. Deeper joints can also be filled in one step without falling out. The short setting time allows for timely cleaning without washing out the joints
>Process ARDEX GK at temperatures above 5°C

Important Notes
Porous surfaces or matte glazes of tiles and slabs may cause residues of the joint material to settle. Testing on sample joints of such surfaces is therefore essential.
>When cleaning off excess, the joints must be wetted beforehand.
>Moisture of the substrate and differing absorption properties of tile edges can cause color differences in the joints.
>Perform trial joints in case of doubt.
>When using aggressive cleaning agents, follow manufacturer instructions. Overdosing should be avoided.

General Advice
Instead of cement-based joint materials, epoxy resin joint mortars ARDEX WA should be used in health and thermal insulation buildings and other highly stressed structures.
For joints of moisture-sensitive natural stone slabs indoors, use ARDEX MG Marble Joint.
