Application Area

Osmo Holzschutz Lasur is ideal for all outdoor wood, including doors, windows, window frames, timber components, carports, wooden facades, balconies, wooden terraces, fences, pergolas, garden furniture, and garden houses, as well as non-massive components.

Durability

5 years or longer if stored dry and tightly sealed. If frozen, thickened, store at room temperature for 24-36 hours before use.

Preparation

The wood surface must be clean, dry, and frost-free, with a maximum moisture content of 20%. Osmo Holzschutz Lasur is ready to use and does not require thinning. Thoroughly stir before use. If possible, apply the first coat before assembly all around the wood. Remove old, open-pore coatings thoroughly. Old paint and varnish must be completely removed. Always wear a dust mask during sanding. The coating result depends on the wood quality; therefore, especially on unknown substrates, a test coat is recommended. To prevent mold, algae, and insect infestation, treat the wood all around with Osmo HolzImpraumlgnierung WR before coating.

Application

Using Osmo roller or microfiber roller, apply along the wood grain and thoroughly coat. Allow to dry for approximately 4-6 hours in well-ventilated conditions, then apply a second coat if necessary. For renovation, generally only one coat is sufficient on a clean surface.
