White pigmented, solvent-free insulating material used as a bonding and sealing primer over tar, bitumen, nicotine, and rust-stained substrates

Application areas:
weberprim 404 Bonding and Sealing Primer as an insulating and primer coating on, for example, plasterboard and chipboard, tar, bitumen, nicotine, and rust-stained substrates, as well as water stains for weberstar 222, 223, 244, 261, and 281, and for webercal 286, 288, 289, and all weberpas products except silicate-bound materials. Since the properties of weberprim 404 are highly influenced by the type of substrate, a test surface should be applied in case of doubt, with one or two coats. Application only indoors. Primer is not paintable. Not suitable for gypsum-bound substrates.

Product description:
weberprim 404 is a factory-produced, heavily pigmented, ready-to-use insulating material for pre-treatment of critical substrates indoors.

Composition:
Organic binders, alkali-resistant color pigments, fine sands.

Product features:

• Prevents lignin bleeding
• Has a strongly sealing effect
• Reduces the absorbency of the substrate
• Improves adhesion to the substrate
• Drying time: approx. 12 hours
• For indoor use

Quality assurance:
weberprim 404 is subject to continuous quality control through in-house monitoring.

General notes:
weberprim 404 can be used under thin-layer decorative plasters. It is not suitable for overcoating with thicker plaster layers!

Storage:
Stored in a dry, frost-free environment, the material is storable for up to 1 year.

• substrate-dependent: approx. 0.25 l/m
• about 60 m² per 15-liter bucket

Density: 1 l approx. 1.3 kg

Substrate preparation:

• The substrate must be load-bearing, dry, and clean
• Dirt, dust, and loose parts must be removed from the substrate

Application:

• The primer can be applied with a brush or roller. It is important to apply evenly, wet-on-wet.
• The primer coat is applied one or two times undiluted.
• The ambient and object temperature must not fall below 5°C.
