Product Description
Two-layer UV-stabilized Einputzband made of polyolefin copolymer membrane and PP fleece for permanently airtight bonding of vapor barrier membranes, airtightness layers, and timber construction elements with solid components, including masonry and concrete indoors according to DIN 4108 Part 7, SIAnb 180 OÜNORM B 81102, EnEV, and ETAG 007. Part of the Knauf Insulation airtight sealing system, which is certified for its long-term functionality and aging resistance.
Durability of the Bonding
Properly executed bonds with the certified system components are highly aging resistant, with a durability of over 50 years (test report University of Kassel). They thus meet the requirements of ETAG 007 guidelines for European technical approval and building sealants for timber frame construction.
Suitable Bonding Substrates
- Solid components such as masonry and concrete
- Vapor barrier membranes
- Polyamide and aluminum foils, as well as polyethylene foils according to DIN EN 13984
- Polypropylene spunbond membranes according to DIN EN 13984 and DIN EN 13859
- Kraft paper, wood-based panels with a solid surface, e.g., panels made of long, flat oriented strands (OSB) according to DIN EN 300
- Corrosion-resistant metal substrates
- Planed timber construction elements
- PVC and PE components
- Bonding on gypsum board and fiber-reinforced plasterboards
- Wood-based panels and softwood timber components; surfaces must be primed before bonding
The valid processing guidelines must be observed.
Substrate Condition
The bonding substrate must be load-bearing, dry, clean, free of sand, dust, grease, and silicone. Non-certified substrates must be checked for their suitability for bonding before work begins; if necessary, bonding tests should be conducted. Bonding on frozen or over-frozen substrates is not possible. Outgassing separating, sliding, and flame-retardant agents on foil surfaces can reduce the aging resistance of the bond.
