Product Description
Acrylic adhesive tape on kraft paper basis for overlapping vapor barrier membranes and airtight layers according to DIN 4108 Part 7, SIA 180, ÖNORM B 81102, EnEV, and ETAG 007, as well as for joint sealing on suitable substrates. Part of the Knauf Insulation airtight sealing system, which is certified for its long-term functionality and aging resistance.
Aging resistance of the bonds
Properly bonded joints with certified system components are highly aging resistant (>50 years). Test report from the University of Kassel confirms this and meets the requirements of ETAG 007 guideline for European technical approval, as well as guidelines for timber frame construction.
Suitable substrates
- LDS system vapor barrier membranes
- Polyamide and aluminum foils, as well as polyethylene foils according to DIN EN 13984
- Polypropylene spunbond membranes according to DIN EN 13984 and DIN EN 13859
- Kraft paper
- Wood-based panels with a solid surface, e.g., panels made from long, flat oriented strands such as OSB according to DIN EN 300
- Corrosion-resistant metal substrates and planed wooden components indoors
The applicable processing guidelines must be observed.
Substrate condition
The adhesive substrate must be load-bearing, dry, clean, free of sand, dust, grease, and silicone. Non-certified substrates must be checked for their adhesive suitability before work begins; if necessary, adhesive tests should be conducted. Bonding on frozen or overly frozen substrates is not possible. Outgassing release agents, slip agents, and flame retardants on foil surfaces can reduce the aging resistance of the bond.
