Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be firm, clean, dry, free of oil, and free of separating substances. The surface condition must meet the requirements of the subsequent coverings.

Application of PCI Gisogrund 404

Thoroughly stir PCI Gisogrund 404. Apply the primer evenly using a fine-pored foam roller, brush, soft-haired broom, or mop on the cleaned and pretreated substrate, and saturate with cross-coat application. Avoid foam formation. A second coat can be applied after the first coat is walkable. For spray application, use a P2 particle filter mask.

For cement and magnesite screeds, dilute PCI Gisogrund 404 with water in a ratio of 1:3 and apply in two coats until saturated. For concrete substrates, dilute 1:2 with water and apply in two coats until saturated. For anhydrite, cast asphalt, and magnesite screeds, dilute 1:1 with water and apply once until saturated. For untreated raw wooden floors and wood chipboards, a second coat is necessary after walkability is achieved. Old ceramic and natural stone coverings should be primed once without dilution with PCI Gisogrund 404.

Subsequently, leveling compounds and tile adhesives can be applied for laying ceramic coverings. On anhydrite substrates, a waiting time of 12 hours must be observed.
