vdw 815 plus Joint Mortar 10kg
For the jointing of paving slabs with narrow joints from 3 mm, quick, cost-effective, and durable jointing. Clean paving surfaces. Water-permeable, self-compacting, free-flowing, resistant to efflorescence, abrasion-resistant, high frost and de-icing salt resistance, permanently filled joints, reduced accident risk, environmentally friendly, also suitable for processing in rain and low temperatures.

Test surface
On some natural and concrete stone slabs, contact between vdw 815 plus joint mortar and the stone surface may cause visual changes such as darkening and/or staining. We generally recommend creating a test surface. If necessary, we recommend using vdw 950 Steinschutz 3 in 1.
Preparation
- Clean the surface of the object to be jointed thoroughly, free of residues.
- Pre-wet slabs thoroughly. When pre-wetting and cleaning, always use clean, cold tap water.
- Mixing the joint mortar: pre-mix mineral components, then add binder and mix homogenously with a drill and mixing paddle for approx. 3 minutes. Unmixed components must not be processed. Do not add water to the mixture.
Filling the joints
Immediately fill the joints with the mortar using a rubber trowel, preferably diagonally to the joint. The joint mortar’s fluidity can be increased with a water spray. During processing, keep the surface constantly moist. It is recommended to work from the highest point in the direction of fall.
Cleaning
Remove excess mortar immediately with a light, continuous water spray until the surface is completely clean. Ensure cleaning is done in the direction of still-unjointed areas. Sweep off remaining mortar with a damp coconut broom. Do not sweep residual mortar into still-open joints. Ensure that neither rinse water nor mortar residues remain on the surface.
