Reaction resin-bound paving joint mortar with graded mineral grain mixture

The vdw 850 plus 2K Joint Mortar is the ideal solution for jointing natural stone paving, concrete paving, and clinker paving in areas with light to moderate traffic load.

This high-quality product ensures permanently stable and clean paving surfaces — quick, cost-effective, and durable jointing, resulting in clean paving surfaces, water permeability, self-compacting, machine-resistant, abrasion-resistant, high frost and thaw resistance, and durable joint filling even in rain and low temperatures. It is suitable for processing at low temperatures and reduces accident risks, environmentally friendly, and easy to use.

At least 30 mm for trafficked surfaces; full stone height. For joint widths of 15 mm, the joint depth must be at least twice the joint width

• Joint depth 30 mm for trafficked surfaces; full joint depth
• Joint width continuously 5 mm
• Object and ambient temperature between 3°C and 25°C

Test surface for vdw 850 plus 2K Joint Mortar

In natural and concrete stone installations, contact between vdw 850 plus joint mortar (self-compacting) and the stone surface can cause visual changes such as darkening and/or staining. We generally recommend creating a test surface. If necessary, the use of vdw 950 Steinschutz 3 in 1 is recommended.

Processing instructions

Preparation

• The surface to be jointed must be clean and free of residues
• The surface should be thoroughly pre-wetted before application

Mixing

Pre-mix the mineral binder mixture, then add the binder and mix homogeneously for about 3 minutes

Filling the joints

Immediately fill the joints with the mortar using a stiff rubber trowel, covering the wet surface completely and working the mortar intensively into the joints

Cleaning

Remove excess mortar immediately with a water spray and clean any remaining residues with a damp sponge
