Application Area

weberrep R4 duo is a combined product that can be used both as a reprofiling or concrete replacement mortar for the repair of concrete substrates and for leveling and smoothing concrete surfaces such as fine wall and ceiling elements made of concrete in high-rise construction, as well as a fine concrete putty on repaired concrete surfaces. The mortar can also be used for filling gaps up to 50 mm thick, e.g., on balcony cantilever slabs. It is suitable for repair work in wall and floor areas and for reprofiling, e.g., stairs.

Together with webertec 771 or webertec 772, the requirements are met according to Building Regulations List A T2 as an Surface Protection System OSC or OSD II, as well as OS4 or OS5 according to DIN V 18026.

weberrep R4 duo is a polymer-modified dry mortar of class R4 according to EN 15043. it meets the requirements of service class M2 according to DAfStbRili and is suitable for application as PCC II according to TL BEPCC of the ZTV ING. It is approved in system with weberrep KB duo (building authority approval no. P526800514MPA BS).

Substrate Preparation

As a concrete replacement mortar, it should be clean, frost-free, absorbent, load-bearing, rough, and free of all substances that impair adhesion. The substrate's surface tensile strength should be >15 N/mm². Suitable pretreatment methods include sandblasting and subsequent shot blasting. Reinforcement should be protected against corrosion by two coats of weberrep KB duo. After the corrosion protection coating has cured, the entire concrete surface should be thoroughly roughened and dried to a matte, moist state. Avoid formation of laitance.

Before reprofiling work, apply weberrep KB duo.

As a fine concrete putty, it should be clean, frost-free, absorbent, load-bearing, rough, and free of all substances that impair adhesion and contamination. The surface tensile strength of the substrate should be ?13 N/mm². The concrete surface should be moistened several times, and the substrate must be matte, moist, and dry before applying the mortar.

Processing

Mix the container contents with 14.5–29 liters of water per 20 kg of dry mortar, mixing free of lumps.
