Application Areas

• Priming of cement and calcium sulfate screeds, concrete, porous concrete, masonry, mineral plasters, construction panels, gypsum boards, plasterboard, and fiber-reinforced gypsum boards as a pre-treatment before laying ceramic coverings
• Priming of concrete structures, cement, and calcium sulfate screeds before applying liquid floor leveling compounds such as PCI Periplan or PCI Periplan Fein, as well as stable floor leveling compounds and other hydraulically setting mortars

Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be firm, clean, and load-bearing. Remove any surface contamination, stains, or dirt that could impair adhesion thoroughly. Freshly installed cement screeds must not exceed 4% residual moisture content, measured with a CM device. Anhydrite or gypsum screeds must not exceed 0.5% residual moisture content.

Application

Apply PCI Gisogrund Rapid, a fast primer, thoroughly before use. Shake PCI Gisogrund Rapid well before use. Pour the required amount into a suitable application container. Using a fine-pored foam roller, evenly and thoroughly apply PCI Gisogrund Rapid onto the substrate, avoiding foam formation. After film formation, the primer will turn approximately transparent, allowing immediate subsequent work.
