Adhesive joints / thin and medium bed mortars:
The substrate must be dry, firm, load-bearing, free of cracks, and dimensionally stable.
Less stable and/or non-load-bearing surface layers, extremely dense and/or smooth substrates, cement slurries, separation layers such as dirt, dust, grease, oil, paint residues, etc., must be removed and/or roughened, e.g., using blasting methods.
The requirements of DIN 18157 apply.
The pretreated mineral substrate should be sufficiently cleaned and kept moist approximately 2 hours before application.
Masonry mortar:
The stones must be frost-free and free of contaminants.
In the case of highly absorbent stones and/or unfavorable ambient temperatures, premature and excessive water removal from the mortar must be limited by pre-wetting the stones or other suitable measures.
An appropriately dimensioned flexible band must be applied to exposed building components to avoid internal stresses.
Movement joints from the substructure must be continued into the superstructure. Depending on the surface area size and geometry, movement joints should be provided.

Mix in a clean container with clean, cold tap water until free of lumps and in a workable consistency.
A spiral or double-disc mixer is recommended.
After the curing time, see technical data, mix thoroughly again, and process.
Adhesive joints:
When laying uncolored natural stone/concrete slabs in a mortar bed, the back side of the slabs must be free of voids and sealed with the adhesive joint.
For paving installations, the immersion method is recommended.
The adhesive joint must be worked on fresh in fresh.
Thin and medium bed mortars:
Apply according to DIN 18157-1. First, spread a contact layer on the clean, release agent- and dust-free back side of the slabs, then apply the adhesive mortar with the appropriate notched trowel, and lay the slabs.
Only apply as much mortar as can be embedded or inserted into the open time of the adhesive.
Ensure a as hollow-free installation as possible.
Masonry mortar:
The mortar must be processed within approximately 3 hours at 20°C and 50% relative humidity.
Work mortars must not contain any additives or supplementary agents on the construction site.
