Substrate preparation:

• The substrate must be frost-free, solid, clean, sufficiently dry, free of tar pitch, nests, and open cracks, as well as ridges and other contaminants.
• Remove water-repellent, adhesion-reducing residues.
• Breach edges, round corners.
• Joints and depressions > 5 mm are to be sealed with webertec 933 filling mortar.
• Chamfers at the floor-wall connection are to be rounded with webertec 933, radius 5 cm.
• Suction substrates must be pre-treated with weberprim 801.

Processing:

Mixing process:

• Mixing ratio: A and B component in 1:1 weight ratio, knead thoroughly. Mixing time: approx. 2 to 3 minutes. Mixing equipment: high-performance drill with paddle or weberSys paddle No. 3.

Scratch coating:

• To close pores and cavities and open joints up to 5 mm wide, a full-surface scratch coating of webertec Superflex D 2, mixed with weberSys hard quartz 0.1 to 0.3 mm in a ratio of 3:1 by volume, is to be applied according to room parts. The scratch coating must not be damaged during subsequent sealing application.

Layer sealing:

• In at least 2, possibly 3 work passes, each with full coverage. Material application approx. 1.10 kg/m² per mm dry layer thickness. The coating must have the necessary total layer thickness at every point for the expected water load. The second and third coats are applied when the previous sealing layer can no longer be damaged during application.

weberprim 801 is an alkali-resistant, non-saponifiable primer with dust-binding and water-repellent effects. It can be used to pre-treat absorbent substrates, ideal for subsequent laying of tiles, tile adhesives, fillers, or plasters.
weberprim 801 is suitable for priming gypsum plasters, gypsum board, fiber-reinforced gypsum panels, aerated concrete, mineral plasters, fiber cement panels, concrete, masonry, cement screeds, and calcium sulfate screeds before tile installation. Tile adhesives are protected from rapid water loss, improving their open time and adhesion.

Substrate preparation:
The substrates must be sufficiently load-bearing, dust-free, dry, oil- and grease-free, dimensionally stable, and free of substances that reduce adhesion. Loose or peeling mortar and paint residues must be carefully removed. Peeling mortar and paint residues, lime paints, chalky plaster, and loose parts must be removed, and surfaces must be dusted. Wash off paint and less resistant dispersion coatings, and ensure they are well dried before treatment. The necessary substrate pre-treatments should be adapted to the specific conditions of the construction site.

Processing:
weberprim 801 is ready to use or can be diluted up to 1:1 with water. For highly absorbent substrates, a double application is required. The application should be uniform and well-absorbing using suitable tools such as brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Avoid foam formation. Drying should be checked with a scratch or wetness test. After sufficient drying, subsequent covering work can begin. The application of adhesives should be done within 2 days. Clean tools immediately after use with water. When fully cured, tools should be cleaned with weberSys 992.

Material requirement: approximately 150 to 250 ml/m² depending on the substrate.
