Applications
For the production of bound water-permeable load-bearing layers suitable for medium loads, limited load-bearing capacity under heavy traffic conditions.Substrate
Suitable substrates include load-bearing concrete ceilings, cement-bound load distribution layers, screeds such as terraces and balconies in outdoor areas, and sealed capillary-breaking load-bearing layers made of gravel or chippings.Properties and Testing
In outdoor areas, the substrate must have a slope of at least 15% and sufficient drainage capability. For construction on sealed substrates, measures must be taken to drain infiltrating water, e.g., through drainage mats, drip edges, or gutters. Standing water on impermeable substrates must be avoided by appropriate slope.Processing
Temperature
Do not process or allow to set at air and substrate temperatures below 5 °C, during expected night frosts, or above 30 °C in direct sunlight and/or strong wind.Mixing, Preparation, and Processing
To prepare the mortar, adhere to the specified mixing ratios according to the mixing table. The water requirement depends on the moisture content of the aggregate. Mix the dry components in a free-fall or forced-action mixer with clean water to achieve the desired consistency.Application and Processing
Distribute the freshly mixed mortar evenly on the prepared substrate and compact it. For natural stone or paving, the desired layer thickness can be set using screeds. To improve adhesion of natural stone, the back sides of the paving material should be coated with tubag Haftschlämme.Workable Time
The mixed mortar must be processed within 2 hours. Already stiffened mortar must not be re-mixed or processed with additional water. Time references are based on 20 °C and 65% relative humidity.Drying and Curing
The fresh mortar must be protected from rapid drying and adverse weather conditions such as frost, drafts, direct sunlight, and heavy rain.
