webercal 178 Lime Putty Slurry 25kg natural white
Mineral lime putty slurry for creating a smooth surface indoors
Application Area
webercal 178 lime putty slurry is suitable for producing paint- and wallpaper-compatible surfaces indoors on webercal lime undercoats and weberdur undercoats
Product Description
webercal 178 is a factory-produced mineral dry mortar according to DIN EN 998-1
Composition
white hydrated lime, hydraulic lime, high-quality white fillers, air-entraining agents, cellulose
Product Properties
- Hand application possible
- Fungus-inhibiting
- Highly vapor-permeable
- Moisture-regulating
- Easy to smooth
- Natural white
Quality Assurance
webercal 178 is subject to continuous quality control through internal monitoring according to DIN EN 998-1
General Notes
- Only the mortar itself should be used; no additives should be mixed in
- During processing and drying, the air temperature of the materials and substrate must not fall below 5°C
- The freshly applied plaster should be protected from rain to prevent efflorescence and from rapid moisture loss to ensure optimal curing
- Application and execution are governed by DIN 18 350 VOB Part C and DIN 18 550
- Consumption may vary depending on the substrate and application method. Exact consumption values should be determined through trial applications on site. Consumption figures refer to the minimum plaster thickness.
- Adjacent components must be separated from the plaster system
Color
natural white
Application Thickness
1 mm
Water Requirement
approximately 11 l per 25 kg
Storage
In a dry, moisture-protected storage, the material remains storable for up to 1 year
Substrate Preparation
Remove dirt, dust, loose parts, and substances impairing adhesion; if necessary, water high-pressure cleaning or wet sandblasting
For unsuitable substrates, e.g., deviations from DIN 1053 masonry or DIN 18 202 tolerances in structural engineering, concerns should be raised and remedial action taken
The substrate must have a minimum curing time of 1 day
Processing
Machine processing: The mortar can be processed with all common dry mortar machines (see equipment planner)
Hand processing: Mix the contents of a bag thoroughly with the specified amount of water until a workable consistency is achieved. For better mixing, it is recommended to use a suitable mixing device.
First, apply approximately 0.5 mm and smooth out the surface. Subsequently, apply the total plaster thickness of 1 mm in a wet-on-wet process and smooth after an appropriate curing time. To achieve a refined surface finish, an additional water spray can be used for touch-up.
