weberTec 946 Silane-Based Injection Cream for the Retroactive Horizontal Sealing of Masonry Against Rising Moisture

Silane-based injection cream for the retroactive horizontal sealing of masonry against rising moisture

Application Area:
For the retroactive cross-section sealing of masonry against rising moisture using the non-pressurized drill hole injection method in cases of masonry moisture levels up to 95 %. Suitable for all common masonry types

Product Description:
webertec 946 is a watery, solvent-free injection cream based on silane with official test certificate according to WTAMerkblatt 4404

Color: white;
Storage: When stored in a dry, frost-free environment in the original sealed container, the material is shelf-stable for at least 12 months

Composition:
Silane base

Product Properties:

  • Ready for use
  • Especially suitable for cavity masonry, no uncontrolled leakage
  • Simple and safe to apply
  • Application with hand pressure sprayer or e.g., Gloriaspritze
  • Effective even at high moisture levels up to 95 %
  • Watery cream penetrates into the finest capillaries
  • Does not form building-damaging salts

General Notes:
Drying of the walls above the injection zone to the equilibrium moisture content can only occur if no dense wall coatings are present. Remove plasters and paints and ensure adequate drying conditions in the treated room
Additional measures may be necessary. It must be ensured that at least one joint is drilled through. For masonry thicknesses over 60 cm, we recommend pressure injection with webertec 940 E. In wall corners, drill holes should be arranged on both sides.
Depending on the extent of damage, flank measures such as retroactive sealing or interior sealing and repair plaster systems should be used. The instructions of WTA Merkblatt 4404 Masonry Injection must be observed.

Special Notes:

  • Do not mix with other building materials
  • The application tip "How to properly carry out basement interior renovation" must be observed
  • Not suitable for aerated concrete

Substrate Preparation:

  • Old, crumbly, and poorly adhering plasters and coatings should be removed down to load-bearing substrate. Masonry joints approx. 2 cm deep should be chiseled out and the surface mechanically cleaned
  • Damaged masonry should be replaced or supplemented. Substrate preparation is carried out at least 0.8 m beyond the extent of moisture damage
  • When internal walls or vaulted ceilings are involved, the substrate preparation extends at least 1 m from the outer wall
  • Drill holes with a diameter of approx. 16 mm at a spacing of approx. 8 to 12 cm, preferably horizontally, into the mortar joint. The drill hole depth corresponds to the wall thickness minus 5 cm
  • If the drill holes are to be sealed afterwards, drill into the masonry joint or brick at an angle up to 45°. The bore must reach within approx. 5 cm of the outer wall surface
  • For high moisture levels >75 %, drilling in two staggered rows is recommended
  • Blow out drill holes with oil-free compressed air
  • In two-row arrangements, height offset of 8 cm must not be exceeded

Application:

  • Injection method
  • Insert webertec 946 bag into the prepared weberSys hand pressure sprayer No. 3, screw the adapter firmly onto the hose thread. Attach the injection tube securely to the adapter shaft
  • Alternatively, use suitable dispensing equipment, e.g., Gloriaspritze with injection lance
  • Injection begins pressureless from the bottom row of drill holes. Each drill hole must be completely filled with injection cream from the back to the front
  • After the injection material has been fully absorbed, fill the drill holes with webertec 942 or seal with webertec 933
