KNAUF MultiFinish Gypsum Putty and Skim Coat

Knauf MultiFinish is a gypsum-based plaster and skim coat. It is used indoors for efficient filling of uneven and rough surfaces, sealing concrete, precast joints, cavities, and chases. MultiFinish is excellent for creating surfaces of quality level Q4, polished to a smooth finish.

Application Area

Knauf MultiFinish is suitable for creating high-quality decorative interior surfaces and is used for:

• Efficient filling of uneven and rough surfaces
• Sealing concrete, precast joints, cavities, and chases
• Two-layer plastering of flat substrates
• Creating surfaces of quality level Q4, polished

Full surface filling of gypsum board surfaces to achieve quality level Q4 in conjunction with Knauf Putzgrund, reference sheet No. 3 "Verspachtelung von Gipsfaserplatten Oberflächen" issued by the Industry Group for Gypsum Boards.

Execution

Within 30 minutes of mixing, apply Knauf MultiFinish with a Swiss trowel or similar tool and smooth with a trowel or plaster spatula. After approximately 40 to 60 minutes, depending on the substrate's absorbency, pull off the surface with the same tool and smooth one or two more times as the material stiffens. Before the second smoothing, moisten the surface lightly with water. For larger surfaces and high-quality requirements, it is recommended to apply a thin second coat immediately after pulling off and smooth as described above. When fully covering concrete surfaces, gypsum boards, and plasters, apply Knauf MultiFinish as a single-layer skim coat in the required thickness of 2 mm.
