Application area

• Suitable for use in residential buildings, showers, balconies, terraces, facades, and in public and commercial areas with high moisture exposure, e.g., shower installations, saunas, toilet facilities, sales and presentation areas
• On heated screeds, dry screeds, concrete prefabricates, plasterboard, plasterboards, wood chipboards, wood floors, and in areas with significant temperature fluctuations

Substrate preparation

• Immediately after laying the tiles, scrape the joints evenly and deeply to the tile thickness and clean
• Allow the adhesive or laying mortar to set

Processing PCI Nanofug Premium

• Mixing water: see mixing ratio in a clean container
• Add PCI Nanofug Premium and immediately knead to a homogeneous, lump-free mortar using a suitable stirring or mixing tool, e.g., from Collomix as an attachment to a drill
• After a curing time of approximately 3 minutes, knead again
• Apply the joint filler with PCI rubber jointing disc and allow to set; optionally, fill again with PCI Nanofug Premium
• After sufficient setting, perform a finger test with a slightly damp, firm sponge or sponge board to clean
• After drying, remove any remaining mortar film with a slightly damp sponge

Important notes

• Do not process at substrate temperatures below 5°C or above 25°C, or in direct sunlight and draughts
• Lower temperatures shorten, lower temperatures extend the processing time
• Protect freshly grouted surfaces from sunlight and strong draughts
• During grouting and curing, the floor heating must be switched off for at least 24 hours
• If a white film remains on the ceramic surface after drying, it can be removed after 2 to 3 days with a cement film remover. Thoroughly clean the joints and surface beforehand and rinse thoroughly with plenty of water after cleaning
• In case of intensive use, salt-containing cleaners, or prolonged exposure to cement-aggressive media, the joint may be attacked. Clean the joints thoroughly before cleaning and rinse with plenty of water afterwards
• When grouting slip-resistant or textured floors, residual film must be carefully removed while still fresh. Conduct a test grouting or cleaning first
• For polished fine stoneware, color pigments may settle in micro-pores of the surface. Avoid strong color contrast between tile and joint. Conduct a test grouting if in doubt
• When grouting sharply edged tiles, it is recommended to use the jointing fleece, see brochure "Work and advertising material for the tile installer"
• For black color, increased cleaning effort is expected
• Before grouting, secure edge and movement joints by inserting styrofoam strips or foam profiles. Remove protective strips before elastic grouting. Grout joints between tiles, fixtures, and pipe penetrations, as well as corner and connection joints, elastically with PCI Silcofug E or PCI Silcoferm S, and on facades with PCI Elritan 100
• Use only joint mortars with the same batch number on the same object
• Mixing PCI Nanofug Premium with quartz sand may alter the original color tone
