Topolitreg Bitumenfix Repair Asphalt

Topolitreg Bitumenfix is a ready-to-use, immediately load-bearing repair asphalt based on bitumen components, mineral grains according to EN 13043, polymers, various special adhesives, and additives.

Application

Topolitreg Bitumenfix is used for all repair works in the roadway area, whether asphalt or concrete. For example, sealing around manholes, manhole covers, road surfaces at hydrants and valves, small and large potholes, cuts in the roadway caused by cable excavations, and permanent repairs of damaged areas on roads and squares of all load classes according to RStO.

Properties

  • Ready-to-use, single component
  • Priming is not required
  • Application is possible both in dry and frozen conditions
  • Reworkable with hot asphalt
  • Immediately load-bearing after application
  • Easy to process
  • Solvent-free, suitable for water protection zones 2 and 3 according to legal labeling requirements

Topolitreg Bitumenfix can be processed at ambient temperatures from 20°C to 40°C. The material temperature should be between 10°C and 20°C.

Granulation Sizes

  • 03 mm for installation heights of at least 1 to 25 cm, white cover, no intermediate compaction possible
  • 05 mm for installation heights of at least 15 to 35 cm, green cover, intermediate compaction possible
  • 08 mm for installation heights of at least 25 to 50 cm, red cover, intermediate compaction possible
  • Other granulation sizes: 011 mm for installation heights of at least 35 to 80 cm, 016 mm for at least 90 to 100 cm, blue cover, available on request

Processing

1. Preparation

For a permanent repair, sufficient structural strength of the substrate is essential. Remove dirt, standing water, ice, and loose components.

2. Application

Topolitreg Bitumenfix can be filled directly from the bucket into the excavation site without mixing. It is recommended to turn the bucket upside down before processing to better distribute the binder and achieve a uniform consistency. The excavation areas should be slightly above the finished level and compacted with a shovel or tamper. Machine compaction and sweeping with sand are recommended for faster traffic reopening.

Topolitreg Bitumenfix is load-bearing immediately after application. The higher the compaction, even through traffic, the faster the material hardens. Do not use Topolitreg Bitumenfix where high point and shear loads are expected.

Consumption

Approximately 25 kg per m2 at 20 mm layer thickness.

Storage

Keep dry and avoid direct sunlight. It is recommended to use the product within 12 months. Opened containers can be processed weeks later if the bucket is tightly resealed.

Delivery Form

25 kg plastic bucket with 24 x 25 kg = 600 kg total.

Topolitreg Bitumenfix is not classified as hazardous goods according to GGVS. Guaranteed return of empty packaging in accordance with section 63 of the Packaging Ordinance nationwide through RIGK collection points.

Note

In case of extreme loads, it is important to use the maximum granulation size and sand the repaired surface.
