Application areas:
- For indoor and outdoor use
- For wall and floor applications
- For joint widths of 1 – 10 mm
- For all ceramic tiles, glass mosaics, and glass tiles
- For all natural stones
- In residential areas, in building interiors, showers, on balconies, terraces, facades, in public and commercial areas with high moisture exposure, e.g., shower installations, saunas, toilet facilities, in sales and presentation areas
- On heated screeds, dry screeds, concrete prefabricates, plasterboard, plaster panels, wood chipboards, wooden planks, and in areas with strong temperature fluctuations
Substrate preparation:
Immediately after laying the tiles, scrape the joints evenly deep to the tile thickness and clean.
Allow the adhesive or laying mortar to mature.
Processing of PCI Nanofug Premium:
- Pour the mixing water according to the ratio specified in a clean working container, add PCI Nanofug Premium, and immediately stir with a suitable stirrer or mixing tool, e.g., from Collomix, attached to a drill, to a homogeneous, lump-free mortar.
- Stir again after approximately 3 minutes of maturation.
- Apply the joint filler with PCI rubber jointing disc into the joints and allow to set. Optionally, rework with PCI Nanofug Premium for a dense finish. After sufficient setting, wipe with a slightly damp, firm sponge or sponge board.
- After drying, remove any remaining mortar film with a slightly damp sponge.
Please note:
- Do not process at substrate temperatures below 5°C or above 25°C, or in direct heat, exposure to water, or drafts.
- Higher temperatures shorten, lower temperatures extend the processing time. Newly grouted surfaces outdoors should be protected from sunlight and strong drafts.
- During grouting and curing, the floor heating must be switched off for at least 24 hours.
- If a white film remains on the ceramic surface after drying, it can be removed after 2 to 3 days with a cement film remover. Thoroughly pre-clean joints and surface, then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
- Frequent, intensive use of acidic cleaners or prolonged exposure to cement-aggressive media can attack the joint. Clean joints thoroughly before cleaning and rinse with plenty of water.
- When grouting slip-resistant or textured floor coverings, residual film must be carefully removed while still fresh. Conduct a test grouting or cleaning first.
- For polished fine stoneware, color pigments may settle in micro-pores of the surface. Avoid strong color contrast between tile and joint. Conduct a test grouting if unsure.
- When grouting sharp-edged tiles, use the jointing fleece as shown in the brochure "Work and advertising material for the tile professional".
- For black color, increased cleaning effort is required.
- Before grouting, secure edge joints and movement joints by inserting styrofoam strips or foam profiles. Remove protective strips before elastic grouting. Use PCI Silcofug E or PCI Silcoferm S for joints between tiles, fixtures, and pipes, and PCI Elritan 100 for facade joints.
- Use only joint mortars with the same batch number on the same project whenever possible.
- Mixing PCI Nanofug Premium with quartz sand can alter the original color tone.
